The most exciting thing that has happened since the last entry is that we actually SAW the bear this morning! Everyone was sitting out on the back deck drinking coffee and eating my grandma's wonderful homemade peach cobbler when all of a sudden a small bear ran right past us up into the woods behind my mom's house! Of course this was the only time I didn't have my camera outside with me, but my grandma ran into the house to find it, and then Mike went up in the woods to try to get a few photos. He got one, but the bear is in the shade and blends in with the wildlife, so it's pretty hard to see. I posted it though, as you can see above.
Now I'll backtrack a bit. Last night we all went out to eat at the Rio, a very good Mexican restaurant, and then took the Light Rail to downtown Denver to see the Colorado Rockies play against the Pittsburgh Pirates! We had excellent seats - 18th row behind the Pirates' dugout right along the 3rd base line, and it was a pretty eventful game. We saw at least three home runs, and one of those was an in-the-park home run. It was raining when we first arrived at the park but that quickly subsided and it turned into a great night for a game. Here are a few photos:

Me, Karl, Nanny, my mom, and Mike eating dinner at the Rio.

My mom, Nanny, and me eating ice cream cones at the game...they ended up being VERY messy! We all had chocolate on our faces at the end.
As I write this Karl is putting the Prius back up on the trailer and we are getting set to take off for California. Tonight we are hoping to make it through Wyoming and spend the night somewhere on the Wyoming/Utah border. Tomorrow we'll drive through Utah and Nevada and spend the night somewhere a few hours away from our new home. That way we can wake up on Monday and finish the drive and have the whole day to unpack.
More updates when we get a chance! :)
