Today Karl's brother Erik and his wife Erin came to visit us all the way from Connecticut! They'll be moving to Switzerland (for at least two years) very soon, so it is wonderful that we have an opportunity to spend a few days one-on-one with them before they leave the country. We had a great day - the weather couldn't have been more perfect. It was about 60 degrees and sunny (typical California...). Karl took the day off work and picked them up from the airport around 11:00, then they stopped by his school, grabbed some lunch, and came out to Saint Mary's to see me and visit the campus. After that we headed home and went up to Berkeley to walk around the Cal campus. We finished off the day with a drive up the huge hill in Berkeley to see the views of San Francisco, the Bay, and Oakland. We then took a trip to the Berkeley Bowl, which Erik and Erin loved (all that produce!!!) and finally cooked dinner back at our place and enjoyed a lot of lively conversation until bedtime hit.

love it! we had such a great time. that view was amazing...i can't wait to look at our photos on a computer! i'll send them as soon as i can. ;)
